Super Stacker DIY Memory Module

The Super Stacker is a DIY programmable memory replacement module designed for compatible Super Famicom and Super Nintendo cartridge hardware that uses supported 36-pin MASKROM configurations.

By stacking compatible Super Stacker modules, available flash-memory capacity may be increased up to approximately 32Mb, depending upon the cartridge hardware, memory configuration, addressing requirements, software, and intended application.

The Super Stacker uses TSSOP-48 packaged 29F016 flash memory and is designed to allow compatible programmable replacement memory to be added without requiring removal of the cartridge's original MASKROM.

When properly installed according to the published documentation, the original MASKROM remains physically installed on the cartridge PCB and does not need to be desoldered. The modification is therefore designed to be reversible without permanently removing the original ROM device.

REVERSIBILITY DEPENDS UPON PROPER INSTALLATION, REMOVAL, AND HANDLING. NO MODIFICATION INVOLVING SOLDERING OR ELECTRONIC REWORK CAN BE GUARANTEED TO BE COMPLETELY RISK-FREE OR NON-DESTRUCTIVE WHEN IMPROPERLY PERFORMED.

Compatibility

The Super Stacker is intended for compatible Super Famicom and Super Nintendo cartridge PCBs that use a supported 36-pin MASKROM configuration.

The module may be appropriate for cartridges requiring greater capacity than can be provided by smaller replacement-memory solutions such as the 8 Megabitz module.

Before ordering, inspect the cartridge PCB and determine whether a supported 36-pin ROM configuration is present and whether the Super Stacker is appropriate for the intended application.

Compatibility Verification

NOT ALL SUPER FAMICOM OR SUPER NINTENDO CARTRIDGES USE THE SAME ROM, PCB, ADDRESSING, MAPPER, ENHANCEMENT-HARDWARE, OR MEMORY CONFIGURATION. THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY BEFORE PURCHASE, PROGRAMMING, OR INSTALLATION.

Compatibility may depend upon ROM size, cartridge PCB revision, memory mapping, enhancement hardware, addressing requirements, flash-memory capacity, software configuration, and other cartridge-specific characteristics.

The ability to physically install or stack Super Stacker modules does not guarantee that a particular cartridge, software image, translation patch, homebrew project, or custom configuration will operate correctly.

Compatibility information is provided as a technical guide and does not constitute a guarantee that every cartridge, PCB revision, software image, patch, programmer, console, or custom configuration will behave identically.

Authorized Use and Copyright Compliance

The Super Stacker is a general-purpose programmable electronics device intended for lawful cartridge repair, preservation, homebrew development, translation projects, software development, technical experimentation, and other authorized uses.

VOULTAR LLC DOES NOT PROVIDE, DISTRIBUTE, HOST, SELL, OR INCLUDE COMMERCIAL GAME ROMS, ROM COLLECTIONS, COPYRIGHTED GAME IMAGES, UNAUTHORIZED SOFTWARE COPIES, OR PIRATED GAME DATA WITH THIS PRODUCT.

The customer is solely responsible for any data programmed to the flash-memory device and for determining whether they possess the legal right or authorization to reproduce, modify, program, possess, or use that data.

Any game data, software image, translation patch, homebrew application, development software, or other digital content used with this product is selected, supplied, or obtained solely by the customer or installer.

Voultar LLC does not provide assistance for locating unauthorized copies of commercial games, downloading copyrighted software from unauthorized sources, obtaining pirated ROM collections, or reproducing commercial software in violation of applicable law.

Nothing about the sale of this hardware constitutes authorization, encouragement, or approval to reproduce, distribute, download, sell, possess, or use copyrighted software in violation of applicable law or the rights of a copyright owner.

Installation & Documentation

The Super Stacker is a DIY electronics modification that may require cartridge disassembly, soldering, flash-memory programming, module stacking, wiring, and familiarity with electronic-rework procedures.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the current documentation, verifying cartridge compatibility, and determining whether they or their chosen installer possess the tools, programming equipment, experience, and technical ability necessary to perform the installation safely and correctly.

Installation documentation, diagrams, photographs, programming information, videos, measurements, and other technical materials are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute a guarantee that any particular person will successfully complete the installation or programming process.

Installation and Programming Risk

INSTALLATION, PROGRAMMING, STACKING, REMOVAL, OR MODIFICATION OF THIS PRODUCT IS PERFORMED ENTIRELY AT THE CUSTOMER'S OR INSTALLER'S RISK.

The customer and/or installer assumes responsibility for damage resulting from installation, attempted installation, removal, programming, stacking, modification, troubleshooting, rework, testing, or use of the product.

This includes, without limitation, damage resulting from excessive soldering heat, lifted pads, damaged traces, solder bridges, short circuits, incorrect wiring, incorrect orientation, reversed connections, improper programming voltage, incorrect flash-memory programming, electrostatic discharge, damaged components, physical damage, improper stacking, improper tools, incompatible cartridge hardware, improper installation technique, or failure to follow the published documentation.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for damage to a cartridge PCB, original MASKROM, SRAM device, enhancement chip, flash-memory device, cartridge connector, console, programmer, power supply, accessory, or other property caused by end-user or third-party installation, programming, stacking, modification, removal, troubleshooting, misuse, or incorrect connection of the Super Stacker.

Original Cartridge Hardware

Super Famicom and Super Nintendo cartridges are vintage electronic hardware. Original components may already be affected by age, corrosion, battery leakage, previous repairs, undocumented modifications, damaged traces, failing memory, connector wear, manufacturing defects, counterfeit replacement parts, or other latent conditions before installation begins.

Installation of the Super Stacker does not constitute a warranty of the cartridge, original MASKROM, save memory, enhancement hardware, cartridge PCB, or any unrelated original component.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for failures caused solely by pre-existing defects, aging components, previous repairs, improper storage, corrosion, battery leakage, third-party modifications, counterfeit hardware, or other conditions outside the scope of the Super Stacker product itself.

Quality Control

Super Stacker hardware may be functionally tested before shipment as part of normal quality-control procedures.

Any pre-shipment inspection or testing confirms operation only at the time and under the conditions in which the product was tested.

Pre-shipment testing does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of future performance, successful end-user installation, successful programming, successful stacking, cartridge compatibility, software compatibility, or protection against damage occurring after shipment.

Order Processing

DIY products are generally processed and shipped within approximately 5 business days after an order is submitted.

ALL PROCESSING AND SHIPPING TIMES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED SHIPMENT OR DELIVERY DATES.

Processing may take longer because of unusually high order volume, component availability, supplier delays, manufacturing delays, staffing limitations, illness or medical emergency, equipment failure, severe weather, utility or Internet interruption, carrier disruption, or other circumstances reasonably affecting normal business operations.

A delay beyond the estimated processing period does not, by itself, constitute a guaranteed delivery-date violation or automatically create a right to cancellation, refund, discount, or other compensation, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Delivery time after shipment is controlled by the shipping carrier and is separate from Voultar LLC's order-processing time.

Shipping

Orders will be shipped using the shipping method selected or otherwise specified during checkout.

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Once a properly addressed package has been tendered to the shipping carrier, carrier transit times and handling are outside Voultar LLC's direct control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Voultar LLC is not responsible for carrier delays, routing errors, theft, misdelivery, or physical damage caused solely while a package is in the custody of the carrier.

Any available shipping insurance or carrier claim will be handled according to the applicable carrier's rules and the coverage purchased for the shipment.

Final Sale and Order Changes

The Super Stacker is sold as a customer-installable and customer-programmable electronic component.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the shopping cart, quantity, product selection, compatibility information, shipping address, and other order details before checkout.

Orders are considered final once submitted and processing has begun.

Orders will not ordinarily be cancelled, modified, combined, exchanged, or refunded because of buyer error, duplicate ordering, change of mind, accidental ordering, failure to verify compatibility, unsuccessful programming, unsuccessful stacking, or unsuccessful installation.

Installed, soldered, programmed, stacked, modified, cut, altered, damaged, electrically connected, or otherwise used DIY products are not eligible for return or exchange except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents correction of merchandise incorrectly supplied by Voultar LLC or eliminates any right or remedy that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

AS-IS / WITH-ALL-FAULTS SALE

THE SUPER STACKER IS SOLD "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS" TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

EXCEPT FOR RIGHTS OR OBLIGATIONS THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE EXCLUDED, VOULTAR LLC PROVIDES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, FOR THIS DIY PRODUCT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOULTAR LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

There are no warranties that extend beyond the product description and representations that applicable law requires to remain enforceable.

No warranty is made that this product will be suitable for the customer's particular cartridge, PCB revision, ROM size, mapper configuration, enhancement hardware, programmer, programmer software, game image, translation patch, homebrew software, console, skill level, stacking configuration, or intended application except for compatibility expressly stated in the current product documentation.

No warranty is provided against damage occurring after delivery because of installation, programming, stacking, modification, rework, misuse, electrical fault, static discharge, improper storage, physical damage, incompatible hardware, incorrect connection, or other circumstances outside Voultar LLC's control.

No Installation or Programming Warranty

The sale of a Super Stacker DIY product does not include professional installation, programming, cartridge modification, ROM preparation, software patching, data conversion, or configuration services.

Voultar LLC does not warrant or guarantee work performed by the purchaser, another individual, an independent installer, repair shop, technician, programmer, or other third party.

Any person or business installing, stacking, or programming the product is solely responsible for the quality, legality, safety, correctness, and compatibility of their installation and programming work.

Opening, soldering, programming, stacking, modifying, installing, removing, or otherwise altering the product constitutes acceptance of the risks associated with DIY electronics work and does not create an obligation for Voultar LLC to repair a customer's cartridge, restore original cartridge hardware, recover lost data, replace game hardware, provide a replacement cartridge, or reimburse third-party repair expenses.

Installation and compatibility information may be provided through the published documentation linked above.

Voultar LLC does not guarantee individualized installation assistance, programming assistance, remote diagnosis, training, troubleshooting, ROM preparation, patching, stacking configuration, software support, or repair services as part of the purchase price of this DIY product.

Voultar LLC is not obligated to troubleshoot or repair cartridges, programmers, consoles, or products damaged during end-user or third-party installation or programming.

Questions concerning the shipment, contents, or fulfillment of an order should be submitted through the integrated ticketing system.

Third-Party Hardware and Software

Voultar LLC does not manufacture or control third-party cartridges, consoles, flash programmers, programmer software, ROM-management utilities, translation patches, homebrew software, enhancement hardware, adapters, or other products that may be used with the Super Stacker.

Compatibility information concerning third-party hardware or software is provided for informational purposes based upon available information and does not constitute a warranty of continued operation, quality, legality, or compatibility of any third-party product or software package.

Limitation of Remedies and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Voultar LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, installation, attempted installation, programming, attempted programming, stacking, modification, removal, use, misuse, incompatibility, or failure of this DIY product.

This includes, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, claims for loss of use, loss of save data, loss or corruption of cartridge data, lost profits, business interruption, third-party repair costs, damage to unrelated equipment, replacement- cartridge costs, or other consequential economic loss.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOULTAR LLC'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THIS PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID TO VOULTAR LLC FOR THE PARTICULAR PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Any limitation of remedy stated on this page applies only to the extent legally enforceable and will not be interpreted to eliminate a remedy where doing so would cause the limitation to fail of its essential purpose under applicable law.

Nothing in these provisions excludes or limits liability for personal injury, intentional misconduct, fraud, or any warranty, remedy, statutory obligation, or other liability that applicable law does not permit Voultar LLC to exclude or limit.

Customer Responsibility

By purchasing this DIY product, the customer acknowledges that installation and programming involve modification of electronic hardware and accepts responsibility for determining whether they or their chosen installer possess the knowledge, experience, tools, equipment, and programming hardware necessary to perform the work.

The customer is responsible for verifying compatibility before beginning installation, reviewing the current documentation, confirming programming settings, verifying device orientation and stacking configuration, and inspecting the completed installation before applying power to the cartridge or console.

Agreement to Terms
