Wii U NAND Recovery DIY Kit

The Wii U NAND Recovery Kit is a collection of DIY electronics tools intended to assist with diagnosis, repair, recovery, replacement, and preservation work involving compatible Wii U systems affected by failing, corrupted, or otherwise problematic NAND/eMMC storage.

The NAND-AID is an ENIG-finished interface designed for use in supported Wii U repair procedures where the original eMMC storage has failed, become unreliable, or requires replacement.

The included SD-Tool is a general-purpose NAND/eMMC dumping and writing interface intended for use with compatible SD-card readers and other equipment capable of communicating with the applicable eMMC interface.

THIS IS A DO-IT-YOURSELF ELECTRONICS REPAIR AND DATA-RECOVERY PRODUCT. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION, DIAGNOSIS, NAND DUMPING, NAND WRITING, DATA RECOVERY, SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION, AND INDIVIDUALIZED TECHNICAL SUPPORT ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS KIT.

Intended Use

The Wii U NAND Recovery Kit is intended for lawful electronics repair, diagnosis, recovery, preservation, development, experimentation, and other authorized technical uses.

The kit provides hardware tools that may be used as part of a Wii U NAND/eMMC repair procedure. It does not itself diagnose a console, recover data automatically, repair filesystem corruption automatically, or guarantee restoration of a particular console to working condition.

A Wii U displaying symptoms commonly associated with NAND or eMMC failure may also have unrelated motherboard, power, memory, filesystem, firmware, storage, or other hardware or software faults.

THE PRESENCE OF A PARTICULAR ERROR CODE OR FAILURE SYMPTOM DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT INSTALLATION OR USE OF THIS PRODUCT WILL CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

Compatibility

Compatibility depends upon the particular Wii U motherboard revision, storage configuration, condition of the original hardware, replacement storage being used, recovery procedure, available backups, card reader, software environment, and other technical factors.

The NAND-AID, SD-Tool, or associated procedures should not be assumed to be compatible with every hardware revision, storage device, card reader, operating system, software utility, or recovery configuration.

Compatibility Verification

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THAT THEIR CONSOLE, MOTHERBOARD REVISION, STORAGE DEVICE, CARD READER, COMPUTER, SOFTWARE TOOLS, AND INTENDED RECOVERY PROCEDURE ARE COMPATIBLE BEFORE BEGINNING ANY REPAIR, INSTALLATION, DUMPING, OR WRITING PROCEDURE.

Compatibility information is provided as a technical guide and does not constitute a guarantee that every Wii U system, hardware revision, SD-card reader, replacement storage device, operating system, third-party utility, or future software revision will operate identically.

Installation & Documentation

The Wii U NAND Recovery Kit is sold strictly as a DIY electronics repair product.

Use of this product may require console disassembly, soldering, motherboard-level electronic rework, electrical measurement, NAND/eMMC dumping and writing, filesystem manipulation, command-line software, data verification, and other advanced technical procedures.

This product should be used only by individuals who understand the risks associated with working directly with electronic hardware, flash memory, system software, and customer data.

Data Loss and Recovery Risk

NAND AND EMMC RECOVERY PROCEDURES INVOLVE A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF PERMANENT DATA LOSS, FILESYSTEM CORRUPTION, CONSOLE FAILURE, OR LOSS OF AVAILABLE RECOVERY OPTIONS IF PERFORMED INCORRECTLY.

Writing incorrect data, writing to the wrong device or storage area, using an incomplete or corrupted dump, interrupting a write operation, using incompatible software, incorrectly configuring replacement storage, or otherwise performing an improper recovery procedure may permanently alter, corrupt, or destroy console data.

Where technically possible, the customer should create and independently verify appropriate backups before modifying, replacing, erasing, or writing NAND/eMMC data.

VOULTAR LLC DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY DATA CAN BE RECOVERED.

No guarantee is made regarding the recoverability, completeness, integrity, authenticity, or continued usability of NAND data, save files, account information, installed software, system configuration, firmware, encryption material, filesystem contents, or any other information contained on a customer's console.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for loss, corruption, alteration, deletion, or inability to recover data resulting from end-user or third-party dumping, writing, programming, installation, repair, recovery, modification, or troubleshooting procedures.

Installation and Electrical Risk

INSTALLATION AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT INVOLVE MODIFICATION OF CUSTOMER-OWNED ELECTRONIC HARDWARE AND ARE PERFORMED ENTIRELY AT THE CUSTOMER'S OR INSTALLER'S RISK.

The customer and/or installer assumes responsibility for damage resulting from assembly, installation, attempted installation, soldering, removal, modification, dumping, writing, programming, troubleshooting, rework, testing, or use of the product.

This includes, without limitation, damage resulting from excessive soldering heat, lifted pads, damaged traces, solder bridges, short circuits, incorrect wiring, incorrect component orientation, reversed connections, improper voltage, electrostatic discharge, damaged connectors, improper assembly, incompatible hardware, incorrect software commands, incorrect write targets, improper tools, or failure to follow an appropriate recovery procedure.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for damage to a Wii U motherboard, original eMMC device, replacement storage device, SD card, SD-card reader, computer, programmer, power supply, accessory, peripheral, or other equipment caused by end-user or third-party installation, modification, programming, writing, troubleshooting, misuse, or improper connection of this product.

Original Hardware Condition

Wii U systems submitted to a NAND/eMMC recovery procedure may already contain failing flash memory, filesystem corruption, damaged motherboard components, power faults, previous repairs, undocumented modifications, corrosion, damaged traces, failing connectors, or other latent defects before this product is used.

Use or installation of the Wii U NAND Recovery Kit does not constitute a warranty of the customer's console or any original or replacement hardware.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for failures caused solely by pre-existing defects, existing data corruption, aging components, previous repairs, third-party modifications, incompatible replacement storage, power faults, or other conditions outside the scope of the product itself.

No Nintendo Software or Proprietary Data Included

THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT INCLUDE NINTENDO SYSTEM SOFTWARE, NAND IMAGES, CONSOLE-SPECIFIC BACKUPS, ENCRYPTION KEYS, COMMERCIAL GAME SOFTWARE, COPYRIGHTED FIRMWARE FILES, OR OTHER PROPRIETARY NINTENDO DATA.

Voultar LLC does not provide, distribute, host, or include unauthorized copies of Nintendo firmware, games, NAND images, console-specific backups, account data, encryption keys, or other copyrighted or proprietary software with this product.

Any software, firmware, NAND image, backup, key material, recovery file, utility, or other digital content used during a recovery procedure is obtained, selected, and used by the customer or installer.

The customer is responsible for determining whether they possess the lawful right or authorization to obtain, reproduce, modify, restore, write, possess, or otherwise use any software or digital data involved in their repair procedure.

Nothing about the sale of this hardware constitutes authorization or encouragement to download, reproduce, distribute, circumvent protection for, or otherwise use copyrighted or proprietary material in violation of applicable law.

Quality Control

Wii U NAND Recovery Kit hardware may be functionally inspected or tested before shipment as part of normal quality-control procedures where practical.

Any pre-shipment inspection or testing confirms operation only at the time and under the conditions in which the product was tested.

Pre-shipment testing does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of future performance, successful end-user assembly, successful installation, successful NAND recovery, successful data recovery, compatibility with a particular console, or protection against damage occurring after shipment.

Order Processing

DIY products are generally processed and shipped within approximately 5 business days after an order is submitted.

ALL PROCESSING AND SHIPPING TIMES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED SHIPMENT OR DELIVERY DATES.

Processing may take longer because of unusually high order volume, component availability, supplier delays, manufacturing delays, staffing limitations, illness or medical emergency, equipment failure, severe weather, utility or Internet interruption, carrier disruption, or other circumstances reasonably affecting normal business operations.

A delay beyond the estimated processing period does not, by itself, constitute a guaranteed delivery-date violation or automatically create a right to cancellation, refund, discount, or other compensation, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Delivery time after shipment is controlled by the shipping carrier and is separate from Voultar LLC's order-processing time.

Shipping

Orders will be shipped using the shipping method selected or otherwise specified during checkout.

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Once a properly addressed package has been tendered to the shipping carrier, carrier transit times are outside Voultar LLC's direct control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Voultar LLC is not responsible for carrier delays, routing errors, theft, misdelivery, or physical damage caused solely while a package is in the custody of the carrier.

Any available shipping insurance or carrier claim will be handled according to the applicable carrier's rules and the coverage purchased for the shipment.

Final Sale and Order Changes

The Wii U NAND Recovery Kit is sold as a customer-assembled and customer-operated electronics repair tool.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the shopping cart, quantity, product selection, compatibility information, shipping address, and other order details before checkout.

Orders are considered final once submitted and processing has begun.

Orders will not ordinarily be cancelled, modified, combined, exchanged, or refunded because of buyer error, duplicate ordering, change of mind, accidental ordering, failure to verify compatibility, unsuccessful repair, unsuccessful NAND recovery, unsuccessful data recovery, or unsuccessful installation.

Assembled, soldered, modified, programmed, altered, damaged, electrically connected, or otherwise used DIY products are not eligible for return or exchange except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents correction of merchandise incorrectly supplied by Voultar LLC or eliminates any right or remedy that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

AS-IS / WITH-ALL-FAULTS SALE

THE WII U NAND RECOVERY KIT, NAND-AID, AND SD-TOOL ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS" TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

EXCEPT FOR RIGHTS OR OBLIGATIONS THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE EXCLUDED, VOULTAR LLC PROVIDES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, FOR THESE DIY PRODUCTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOULTAR LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

There are no warranties that extend beyond the product description and representations that applicable law requires to remain enforceable.

NO WARRANTY IS MADE THAT THIS PRODUCT WILL REPAIR, RECOVER, RESTORE, REVIVE, OR OTHERWISE RETURN A PARTICULAR WII U CONSOLE OR ITS DATA TO WORKING CONDITION.

No warranty is made that this product will be suitable for the customer's particular motherboard revision, storage device, replacement media, SD-card reader, computer, operating system, recovery software, filesystem condition, NAND image, repair procedure, skill level, or intended application except for compatibility expressly stated in current product documentation.

No warranty is provided against damage or data loss occurring after delivery because of assembly, installation, programming, writing, modification, rework, misuse, electrical fault, static discharge, improper storage, physical damage, incompatible hardware, incorrect software procedures, or other circumstances outside Voultar LLC's control.

No Installation, Repair, or Recovery Warranty

The sale of this DIY kit does not include professional installation, repair, diagnosis, NAND dumping, NAND writing, filesystem repair, software recovery, data recovery, console configuration, or restoration services.

Voultar LLC does not warrant or guarantee repair, recovery, programming, or installation work performed by the purchaser, another individual, an independent installer, repair shop, technician, programmer, or other third party.

Any person or business using this product is solely responsible for the quality, safety, correctness, legality, and compatibility of their repair, installation, programming, and recovery procedures.

Assembling, soldering, installing, modifying, programming, writing, reading, connecting, or otherwise using the product constitutes acceptance of the risks associated with DIY electronics and data-recovery work and does not create an obligation for Voultar LLC to repair the customer's console, recover customer data, restore damaged hardware, supply replacement console hardware, or reimburse third-party repair or recovery expenses.

Technical Support

THIS PRODUCT IS SOLD AS A DIY DEVELOPMENT AND REPAIR TOOL AND DOES NOT INCLUDE INDIVIDUALIZED TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

Community guides, forum posts, diagrams, third-party utilities, and other technical information may be available from independent sources.

Voultar LLC does not guarantee individualized installation assistance, NAND recovery assistance, remote diagnosis, training, software support, filesystem repair, programming assistance, troubleshooting, or repair services as part of the purchase price.

Voultar LLC is not obligated to troubleshoot, repair, restore, or recover consoles, storage devices, data, or products damaged during end-user or third-party installation, programming, writing, or recovery procedures.

Questions concerning the shipment, contents, or fulfillment of an order should be submitted through the integrated ticketing system.

Third-Party Documentation, Hardware, and Software

The customer is responsible for verifying hardware compatibility, reviewing available documentation, creating and verifying backups where technically possible, confirming wiring and device orientation, verifying software commands and write targets, and inspecting the completed installation before applying power or writing data.
