DuoRGB DIY Kit

The DuoRGB is a DIY electronics modification kit designed to add high-quality analog RGB video output to compatible PC Engine-family consoles.

When properly installed in supported hardware, the DuoRGB provides analog RGB video suitable for use with compatible RGB displays, video processors, scalers, cables, and related equipment.

The kit also features a Composite Sync (C-Sync) buffering circuit intended to provide a stable sync signal for compatible displays and video processors. An optional low-pass filter is provided for display chains or scalers that may benefit from additional analog filtering.

THIS IS A DO-IT-YOURSELF ELECTRONICS PRODUCT. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS KIT.

Quality Control

Each DuoRGB kit is functionally tested before shipment as part of my normal quality-control process.

Pre-shipment testing confirms that the product operated as expected at the time it was tested. Pre-shipment testing does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of future performance, successful end-user installation, compatibility with unsupported hardware, or protection against damage occurring after shipment.

Compatibility

The DuoRGB is designed for compatible revisions of the following PC Engine-family systems:

• SuperGrafx

Compatibility applies only to supported original hardware revisions unless expressly stated otherwise in the current documentation.

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THAT THEIR CONSOLE AND HARDWARE REVISION ARE COMPATIBLE BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION.

Console manufacturers may revise internal hardware during production, and exterior model identification alone may not always establish the exact internal hardware configuration with certainty.

The DuoRGB is not represented as compatible with clone systems, reproduction hardware, aftermarket replacement motherboards, heavily modified consoles, or other unlisted hardware unless expressly identified as supported.

Installation & Documentation

The DuoRGB is a DIY electronics modification that requires console disassembly, soldering, wiring, and familiarity with electronic-rework procedures. Installation should be attempted only by a person who possesses the tools, experience, and technical ability necessary to perform this type of modification safely and correctly.

Installation documentation may be published or updated through the Voultar Wiki. Customers should review all available documentation before beginning installation.

Where written documentation is incomplete, unavailable, or under revision, the customer is responsible for determining whether they possess sufficient knowledge and experience to safely perform the installation before modifying their console.

Installation documentation, photographs, diagrams, videos, and other instructional materials are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute a guarantee that any particular person will successfully complete the installation.

Installation Risk

INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES MODIFICATION OF CUSTOMER-OWNED ELECTRONIC HARDWARE AND IS PERFORMED ENTIRELY AT THE INSTALLER'S RISK.

The customer and/or installer assumes responsibility for damage resulting from installation, removal, modification, troubleshooting, rework, or use of the product.

This includes, without limitation, damage resulting from excessive soldering heat, lifted pads, damaged traces, solder bridges, short circuits, incorrect wiring, reversed connections, incorrect voltages, electrostatic discharge, damaged connectors, physical damage, incompatible hardware, improper tools, improper installation technique, failure to follow available documentation, or modification of the product after delivery.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for damage to a PC Engine-family console, motherboard, optical-drive hardware, power supply, video equipment, cable, display, scaler, accessory, peripheral, or other property caused by end-user or third-party installation, modification, removal, troubleshooting, misuse, or incorrect connection of the DuoRGB.

Vintage Hardware

PC Engine-family systems are vintage electronic devices. Original components may already be affected by age, deterioration, corrosion, capacitor leakage, previous repairs, undocumented modifications, damaged traces, failing connectors, power-supply faults, optical-drive faults, or other latent defects before installation begins.

The installation or use of the DuoRGB does not constitute a warranty of the customer's console or any unrelated original console hardware.

Voultar LLC is not responsible for failures caused solely by pre-existing conditions, unrelated aging components, prior repairs, capacitor failure, power-supply faults, optical-drive failure, third-party modifications, or other conditions outside the scope of the DuoRGB product itself.

Order Processing

DIY products are generally processed and shipped within approximately 5 business days after an order is submitted.

ALL PROCESSING AND SHIPPING TIMES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED SHIPMENT OR DELIVERY DATES.

Processing may take longer because of unusually high order volume, component availability, supplier delays, manufacturing delays, staffing limitations, illness or medical emergency, equipment failure, severe weather, utility or Internet interruption, carrier disruption, or other circumstances reasonably affecting normal business operations.

A delay beyond the estimated processing period does not, by itself, constitute a guaranteed delivery-date violation or automatically create a right to cancellation, refund, discount, or other compensation, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Delivery time after shipment is controlled by the shipping carrier and is separate from Voultar LLC's order-processing time.

Shipping

Orders will be shipped using the shipping method selected or otherwise specified during checkout.

Once a properly addressed package has been tendered to the shipping carrier, carrier transit times are outside Voultar LLC's direct control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Voultar LLC is not responsible for carrier delays, routing errors, theft, misdelivery, or physical damage caused solely while a package is in the custody of the carrier.

Any available shipping insurance or carrier claim will be handled according to the applicable carrier's rules and the coverage purchased for the shipment.

Final Sale and Order Changes

DIY kits and components are sold as customer-installable electronic products. The customer is responsible for reviewing the contents of the shopping cart, quantity, product selection, compatibility information, shipping address, and other order details before checkout.

Orders are considered final once submitted and processing has begun.

Orders will not ordinarily be cancelled, modified, combined, exchanged, or refunded because of buyer error, duplicate ordering, change of mind, accidental ordering, failure to verify compatibility, or unsuccessful installation.

Installed, soldered, modified, cut, altered, damaged, electrically connected, or otherwise used DIY products are not eligible for return or exchange except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents correction of merchandise incorrectly supplied by Voultar LLC or eliminates any right or remedy that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

AS-IS / WITH-ALL-FAULTS SALE

THE DUORGB IS SOLD "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS" TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

EXCEPT FOR RIGHTS OR OBLIGATIONS THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE EXCLUDED, VOULTAR LLC PROVIDES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, FOR THIS DIY PRODUCT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOULTAR LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

There are no warranties that extend beyond the product description and representations that applicable law requires to remain enforceable.

No warranty is made that this product will be suitable for the customer's particular console revision, motherboard, cable, display, scaler, video processor, installation method, equipment combination, skill level, or intended application except for compatibility expressly stated in the current product documentation.

No warranty is provided against damage occurring after delivery because of installation, modification, rework, misuse, electrical fault, static discharge, improper storage, physical damage, incompatible hardware, incorrect connection, or other circumstances outside Voultar LLC's control.

No Installation Warranty

The sale of a DuoRGB DIY kit does not include an installation service.

Voultar LLC does not warrant or guarantee work performed by the purchaser, another individual, an independent installer, repair shop, technician, or any other third party.

Any person or business installing the product is solely responsible for the quality, safety, and correctness of their installation work.

Opening, soldering, modifying, installing, removing, or altering the product constitutes acceptance of the risks associated with DIY installation and does not create an obligation for Voultar LLC to repair the customer's console, undo an unsuccessful installation, provide replacement console hardware, or reimburse third-party repair expenses.

Technical Support

Installation instructions, compatibility information, diagrams, videos, and other technical materials may be provided through the published documentation linked above.

Voultar LLC does not guarantee individualized installation assistance, remote diagnosis, training, troubleshooting, or repair services as part of the purchase price of a DIY kit.

Voultar LLC is not obligated to troubleshoot or repair consoles or products damaged during end-user or third-party installation.

Questions concerning an order or an item received from Voultar LLC should be submitted through the integrated ticketing system.

Third-Party Equipment

Voultar LLC does not manufacture or control third-party consoles, displays, video processors, cables, power supplies, scalers, accessories, flash cartridges, optical-drive devices, firmware, or other products that may be used with the DuoRGB.

Compatibility information concerning third-party equipment is provided for informational purposes based on available information and does not constitute a warranty of the continued operation, quality, or compatibility of a third-party product.

Limitation of Remedies and Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Voultar LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, installation, attempted installation, modification, removal, use, misuse, incompatibility, or failure of this DIY product.

This includes, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, claims for loss of use, loss of data, loss of game-save data, lost profits, business interruption, third-party repair costs, damage to unrelated equipment, replacement-console costs, or other consequential economic loss.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOULTAR LLC'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THIS PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID TO VOULTAR LLC FOR THE PARTICULAR PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Any limitation of remedy stated on this page applies only to the extent legally enforceable and will not be interpreted to eliminate a remedy where doing so would cause the limitation to fail of its essential purpose under applicable law.

Nothing in these provisions excludes or limits liability for personal injury, intentional misconduct, fraud, or any warranty, remedy, statutory obligation, or other liability that applicable law does not permit Voultar LLC to exclude or limit.

Customer Responsibility

By purchasing this DIY product, the customer acknowledges that installation involves working on electronic hardware and accepts responsibility for determining whether they or their chosen installer possess the knowledge, experience, and equipment necessary to perform the installation.

The customer is responsible for verifying compatibility before beginning installation, reviewing all available installation documentation, and inspecting the product and installation before applying power to the modified console.

Agreement to Terms

Purchase of this product is subject to the site's Terms & Conditions and the product-specific provisions stated on this page.

By checking the applicable Terms & Conditions acceptance box and completing checkout, the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review these terms and agrees to be legally bound by the Terms & Conditions and the product-specific terms applicable to the order.
